What is a Bill of Lading? Car Shipping
When you are in need of auto transport services, one thing you will need to be familiar with is the bill of lading or inspection report. A b.o.l. is done at pickup to reflect the exterior condition of the car being transported. Your transport driver should do a thorough inspection of your car and mark down any scratches or damage on the b.o.l. It is very important that you look over your car and the b.o.l.before signing, to be sure the driver did not miss anything. Upon delivery, you should look over your car and be sure there is no transport damage, if there is any damage on your car that was not marked on the b.o.l. at loading, call your auto shipping agent immediately. Be sure to note the damage on the b.o.l. and sign. Your auto shipping agent will work with the transport driver and the cargo insurance company to insure your situation is taken care of properly. Call a Post Oak agent today if you have any question regarding bill of ladings.713-957-9700
